Internet. This tool will be based on the recommendations of the
Health Summit Group whose mission is to develop criteria to
assess the quality of health information on the Internet. Dr Rippen
is Chairperson of the Health Education Subcommittee of IEEE's
Medical Technology Policy Committee, External Liaison to HHS's
Science Panel on Interactive Communications and Health, and
Board chairperson of the Internet Healthcare Coalition. Dr.
Rippen is boarded in Public Health and Preventive Medicine. She
received her Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Duke
University, a M.D. with honors from the University of Florida,
and a M.P.H. from the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and
